Welcome to the website of St. John Lutheran Church, a congregation of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, established in Wheaton in 1865. We are a liturgical church whose mission is to proclaim salvation through Christ Jesus, to nurture believers in their faith and to equip them for ministry in His kingdom. We invite you to look around the website and discover the goings-on at St. John through the power of the Holy Spirit to the Glory of God the Father. |

Volunteers Needed
We are fortunate to have two people in our congregation who print and fold our worship folders each week. We are grateful for their dedication. Unfortunately, one of our volunteers will be moving away!
We would like to train one or two more people who would be willing to help out. Typically, worship folders are printed on Friday morning. It takes about 3-4 hours to print and fold the folders. We will provide you with the training and support you need. If you are interested in serving in this way, please contact Roni Parrino at 630-668-0701 x423.

Christmas Sharing
During the month of September we are collecting laundry detergent and toilet paper. Before placing your donations in the box across from the Caring Cube in the substory, please carefully secure the lids of liquid products and make sure that liquid items are standing up either in the box or next to it. We attempt to give each family laundry detergent and a package of toilet paper so smaller sizes work best. We anticipate that over 125 families will be served by our congregation this year.
Little by little we collect the items to share with our neighbors who are in need of assistance. Your generous support is appreciated.
